Hey, podcast fam! It’s Louis here, flying solo this week as Sam is out indulging in cake-tasting adventures for his wedding. It’s weird being here without him – I’m so used to bouncing off his energy – but I thought, why not take the chance to go deep into what’s been on my mind lately? So, buckle up for some reflections, laughs, and the occasional tangent (because who am I without a tangent?).

Finding Gratitude in the Small Stuff

I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind and focus on what's not going right, especially with work stress and life’s little annoyances. But recently, I’ve shifted my mindset. I heard a story about someone who turned the most tragic event of their life into a mission to spread positivity. It really hit home for me.

Think about it – how often do we get mad at stuff like traffic? But, if you flip it, traffic means you have a car, a job, somewhere to go. It’s a privilege. Sure, your frustrations are valid, but it’s important to realise that if your biggest problem is an annoying work email or a late train, you're pretty fortunate. This perspective has helped me get a grip on the things that actually matter, like health, family, and the time we have.

Learning to Let Go

This gratitude thing ties into something else I’ve been working on – letting go of what doesn’t matter. I used to stress big time about work stuff – bosses shouting, campaigns going wrong. But now? I don’t let it get under my skin like I used to. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. When you realise most things aren’t worth that stress, it’s like a weight lifted off your shoulders.

Shoutout to Sam

Speaking of stress, I have to shout out Sam. He’s a huge reason why this podcast works and why I’m even able to sit here and talk to you guys solo. Sam doesn’t care what people think, and it’s a great reminder for me to stay true to myself. He’s the kind of guy who’s like, “Let’s do this, no fear,” and that attitude has rubbed off on me in the best way. He’s unapologetically himself, and that’s the kind of energy we all need in our lives.

Evolving Through the Podcast

Doing this podcast has been a game-changer for both of us. It’s not just a fun project, it’s helped us grow in ways we didn’t expect. We’re constantly thinking about how to make it better for you guys, whether it’s staying on topic (harder than it sounds for us!) or delivering more value with each episode. The best part? It’s helping us let go of what others think – which is liberating, trust me.

Relationships and Growth

On a personal note, relationships have been a big part of my journey recently. Shoutout to Rosie – she's not just my partner, but also a huge motivator for me to stay on track. Having someone who supports your grind and understands that sometimes you need space to work on yourself is priceless. It’s not always easy to balance work, personal projects, and relationships, but when you’ve got someone who gets it, it makes all the difference.

Wrapping Up

So yeah, this week has been a bit of a journey into the mind of Louis – full of gratitude, reflections, and a whole lot of love for the things that truly matter. Thanks for sticking around, and as always, we appreciate you. Sam will be back next week, and we’ll be back to our usual banter, but until then, keep evolving, keep growing, and don’t forget to appreciate the little things.
